The Brasher Hillmaster GTX are Britain's best-selling hill walking boot. Designed for men, they are hard wearing, lightweight and provide out of the box comfort; an excellent choice for all year round hill walking. The water-resistant full-grain leather is backed with an abrasion-resistant Gore-Tex lining for total waterproofness and breathability. Inside, the boot is lined with soft, highly breathable, Nu-Buck leather.Additionally, the EVA lution anti-clogging rubber outsole offers good grip over a mix of terrains particularly muddy conditions and the full length REVA [rubber and EVA compound] midsole offers excellent shock absorption.

I have yet to use these boots for serious work. I have worn them around the house, and I wore them to go shopping. I thought I might have looked a bit odd in the supermarket, but then who looks at your feet? (So Freeman's character said in Shawshank!)No one did notice, and so comfortable are they, I didn't notice either. They are clumpy of course, but they aren't clumsy to wear. In fact, they feel like Gulliver's slippers!

These are my partners second pair of Brashers, I purchased these for him for Christmas after his original pair had finally had their day, following many years of walking !
