Keep your feet as warm as fresh toast
These socks do what it says on the packet. I wouldn't buy any other brand of walking sock.
I haven't had them for long enough to say anything about their durability. Hence only 4 stars.

Does what it says on the tin!
The quasi arctic conditions of late have been a good test for these socks and they pass with flying colours. Comfort and warmth!

personal choice
There are plenty of competing brands and no doubt some are better than Bridgedale. But for me these do a great job; tough wearing; warm and comfortable. Also, this particular sock is a medium weight which I prefer. Overall, while I am not sure quite why walking socks are so expensive, this will remain my sock of choice.

An average sock
This sock does a lot of things well, but not great. They are really soft to touch, but do not hold the sock to your feet too well. As when you walk I found them to move about in my boots. I can't write about how long they will last, but they do not seem particulary tough but are at least comfortably warm without making your feet overheat. They would be great for a casual walker but they seriously need elastic to stop them rotating. If they did that I would give them 4 stars for value of money. Icebreaker merino wool socks are definately a better option as long as you buy the heavier cushioning for your walking boots, as I would give them 5/5 for all ratings.
