About Chaco Sandals & Footwear

Chaco was formed in 1989 by a fly fishing and white water guide of the Colorado River called Mark Paigen. After making sandals for his fellow guides for a while and then for his clients Mark decided to start a business, and so Chaco was born.

The sole unit of the Chacos sandals is made from a PU material which Chaco call ChaPU. The sole unit serves it's purpose incredibly well, which is to protect your feet from rocks and sharp objects. Chaco also have their ChaPU soles doing a lot more behind the scene stuff. Chacos ,with the help of pedorthist Gerhard Rill, developed their foot-bed which they call LUVSEAT. Luvseat is the shape of the foot-bed which helps to control pro-nation and boost performance. The Chacos Luvseat gives your feet a comfortable and well supported ride during any activity.

There is a whole range of men's and Ladies Chacos sport sandals which are gender specific to cater for the differences in size and shape between men and women.
