The North Face Etip Gloves Information

North Face have developed a piece of genius that enables their Etip gloves to work on any touch sensitive device. It's called X-static fabric and it has a layer of natural pure silver permanently bonded to the fibre face. X-Static allows the user to use touch screens with ease.

There are two versions with both men's and women's styles available here. All versions have X-Static fabric on both the index finger and thumb caps, as well as a silicone grip pattern on the palms to help you get a better grip of your gadget. The Stretch Etip version is a thinner more dextrous glove, and the Pamir Etip uses windstopper fabric for an extra dollop of warmth and water resistance.

GORE Windstopper soft shell fabrics. These are a 3 layer laminate of a hard wearing outer fabric, and a wicking lining fabric, with the windstopper membrane sandwiched between. This offers superb protection, being totally windproof and stops snow and rain in all but the worst conditions.

DWR - Durable Water Repellent, is a coating added to fabrics to help add to their water repellency and shed water and snow more effectively.

X-Static fabric has a layer of all natural pure silver permanently bonded to the fibre face. This inhibits the growth of bacteria, and helps manage moisture and regulate temperature, allowing the high speed user to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. X-Static also allows the user to use touch screen or click-wheel gadgets such as ipods.
