Great Product!
Can highly recommend the product (both my boyfriend and I have been wearing icebreaker for years). Webtogs were wonderful to deal with and the top arrived far quicker than I expected especially given the problems with the weather and the post.

Good Choice for Winter Cycle Wear

Versatile top
The high zip neck is really versatile as it allows you to ventilate or keep your neck nice and warm, or anything in between.
A slightly looser fit than I was expecting but still warm and comfortable.

icebreaker tech top 260
It's presented as an underlayer. I use it in combination with an icebreaker 200 underlayer, as a second layer.
It is a quite tightly woven fabric, so it keeps the cold out, in stead of a layer that capturers the body heat next to the skin.
I'm 1.95m (6'5") and I use an size XL. It fits wonderful and slim round the body.

Good Winter Top
The Tech Top is very warm for its weight and is really comfortable next to the skin. The Sleeves are nice and long with thumb loops which helps provide a bit more warmth to cold hands.
The first thing you notice is you feel instantly warm when you put the top on and feel very comfortable when working. Largely i dont even notice the top when I am out which is a good thing as it shows it is working well.
On the fit it is fairly tight fitting which is good from a efficiency point of view. For me I would prefer it to be a bit longer in the body but other people I know have one of these and find it fine, so I guess its just my body shape.
I use this twice a week for training, Monday and Thursday, it is often raining, very muddy, and Hard work. I just put the the top in the airing cupboard to dry between sessions and there is no smell unlike my synthetic versions which would really stink so I had to wash them twice as much.
The only down side of the wool top over my synthetic base layers is it does take on quite a lot more moisture which means that if you are working hard sweating heavily you will probably feel a bit colder and wetter when you stop than you would in a synthetic version of the same thing.
