Keen Women's Clearwater CNX Sandals Rating: 5

absolutely fantastic

These are as light as feather and plenty wide enough for my broad feet. Not as supportive as the Venice H2 but prettier and not as chunky. Incredibly fast delivery by normal mail. Brilliant service. Read More »

Keen Men's Pyrenees Walking Boots Rating: 5

Superb!

Have owned these for a number of months now so I feel I can now review them fairly. I like Keen because they are a little wider than some boots. I like to wiggle my toes a little. These have been really comfortable from day one. In the rain and snow my feet have remained warm and dry... Read More »

Keen Men's Commuter III Sandals Rating: 5

Like Commuter IIs only wider

This review is for the Commuter IIIs. The previous version was a very narrow fit, probably because they decided to have the cleats centred sagittally... Read More »

Keen

Keen are one of the coolest footwear brands around today and are consistently churning out new products season after season. Already huge in America Keen are making a march over to Europe and Webtogs are extremely proud to be the largest retailer of Keen Shoes, Sandals and Walking Boots in the UK. Keen was all started when a couple of guys kept getting fed up of stubbing their toes whenever they wore sandals. So the Newport sandals were born, a sandal with a protective toe cap, and from then on Keen have developed and innovated shoes, boots, sandals, flips and slides with which have all been so popular simply because they are so comfortable. All Keen products are developed with the consumer in mind and they really are a people brand with ties into the environment and giving back to the community. Materials used in construction of Keen footwear come mainly from recycled sources and they really are what we might call an eco brand.

Proprietary Keen Technologies

In order to innovate new products and improve on designs Keen have developed a range of their own technologies which they call Keen Hybrid Innovation, the next few paragraphs are here to shed a bit of light on what each technology does and where you might find them.
Keen protect

KEEN.PROTECT

This is Keen's oldest and most noticeable innovation to their shoes, boots and sandals. Keen.Protect is the addition of a rubber toe cap which prevents you from stubbing, kicking and hurting your toes from unexpected objects that get in the way. It's a patented technology and it gives Keen footwear a distinct appearance against other footwear brands.
Keen Dry

KEEN.DRY

This is Keen's very own waterproof and breathable membrane which they integrate into many of their walking boots and shoes. Keen.Dry keeps your feet nice and dry from the elements and from your own moisture build up (sweat) which is inevitable on walks and hikes. This adds to the comfort of the footwear and also helps to regulate temperature enabling you to travel further and harder without the worry of blistering or hot spots.
Keen Warm

KEEN.WARM

Keen.Warm is Keen's addition of insulation in their Winter boot ranges. The insulation is made from charcoal bamboo, so it's totally renewable, lightweight, warm and has anti-microbial properties - non-smelling Winter warmth.
Keen Cush

KEEN.CUSH

This is an answer that Keen came up as a simple alternative to heat moulded shoes. Keen.Cush is a blend of recycled PU, cork and memory foam which is added to the footbed of Keen shoes and sandals so when you put them on there is that instant feel of support and comfort. It moulds to your feet but still gives you cushioning where you need it most, throughout the whole day.
Keen DCR

KEEN.DRC

Keen DCR stands for Dual Climate Rubber, this is a special outer-sole that adapts to the outside temperature and is is used mostly on Winter boots. DCR works on the principles that when it's cold the sole stiffens up to give you more traction and support in snowy conditions and then when you go inside the sole loosens up and becomes more flexible making it more comfortable and again adding to the traction.
keen Aegis

Aegis

Aegis Microbe Shield is used in Keen footwear to control the bacteria and fungi that cause nasty smalls in your shoes and boots. There are many ways in which to keep the level of microbes to a minimum in footwear however Keen use Aegis because their technology is 100% free of environmentally harmful substances.
keen S3

S3

S3 stands for Shock, Suspension and Stability. Keen have developed this to aid in shock dissipation so as soon as your heal touches the ground the S3 is working to transfer the impact and reduce bruised heals and twisted ankles. This is found in most Keen walking and hiking boots and is very effective at reducing impact swelling.
keen Metatomical Footbed

Metatomical Footbed Design

Keen use this as an internal support mechanism which is automatically engineered to provide excellent arch support and cradle the natural contours of your feet. This gives Keen the added comfort and support needed in their walking boots and shoes to enable you to hike all day long.
