Most comfortable sandal I have ever had
The first time I bought these I bought a half size too small. However Webtogs were fantastic in organising a replacement pair. Now I have the best sandals I have ever had and can walk miles in comfort

Fantastic product, I have to confess this is my second pair. On the first pair, one of the leather lace loops wore away after 5 years go anywhere do anything usage (beach, mountain walking and scrambling, mountain biking, in the wet and dry, oh and also after washing - down the pub). The second pair are a better colour, Gargoyle/Bossa Nova, or if you are a man a very light greeney grey (not available 5 years ago) they also feel a slightly better fit, I ordered a half size bigger compared with what I would class as my normal size (as recommended on the keen website), and they fit perfectly. Yes they are not cheap compared with other sandals but these are not like other sandals.REVIEW BY: Catterall Barney

First bought a pair for these in Spring 2007, and have since worn them for walking, (light) climbing, gardening, cycling, and going to the pub. And everything else in between.
That pair started to show signs of wear after four years of very hard labour, and they'd been so good, I just bought an identical pair to replace them.
Downside? Well, I've got strange suntan marks on my feet - they are striped like a tiger - but apart from that, none at all.

Lives up to expectations
I have used my first pair of Newports daily for 6 -7 yrs. They offer exc.support, comfort and breathability. My recent replacement pair have felt even more comfortable from day one, they seem easier to get on/off, have there been some slight tweaks to the design?The colour is also nicer than my original 'olive green' ones.Brilliant!

Despite everyone saying the Keens run very wide, they fit a treat on my narrow feet without any slippage, mainly down to the very good strapping configuration. With regards length, all my other footware is a size 11, however the 10.5 Keens fit a treat.REVIEW BY: twohoots

Having worn Keane boots I had high expectations of of the sandals. I wasn't disapointed. My exact size was a little small but webtogs sent a replacement pair 1/2 size larger. Wore them constantly for 2 weeks in Corfu and I'm still wearing them. I would recommend them.

KEEN NEWPORT SANDALS
These sandals are comfortable and supportive. I have worn them at the beach and am very pleased with them. I have yet to try them out on board our boat so cannot yet comment on their grip and non marking qualities.

good sandals
Spent a long time looking round for a replacement for my 6 yr old Tevas because their new ones have really gone downhill quality wise. I had seen these on someones feet and thought they looked good but couldnt find my size in black anywhere until i found Webtogs. Great website, easy to use and yes i spoke to a real live human....excellent! Fast delivery too. The sandals are exactly as i expected, great support and flexibility, feet feel protected but dont get too hot and sweaty. I have wide-ish feet and they fit perfectly with no pinching or slipping and my normal size was right for me. Very well made and comfortable, cant wait to give them a proper off roading this summer, good product and well worth the money. 10 out of 10

A classy and robust sandal
I had previously ordered a size 9 (my normal size) but had to return it as just too small. The 10 appears to be a perfect fit but I haven't tried it in anger yet. A good price on this sandal, and the quality looks excellent on first inspection.

Tough and practical
Sometimes flip-flops simply aren't man enough and Croc's aren't smart enough. These sandals fit the bill perfectly for adventure in temperate climates. Tough - with a durable walking sole, comfortable enough to walk all day and smart enough to pass as shoes when worn with dark socks. Are they the perfect shoe for ultralight travel? They might be; only time will tell.

No wonder that this shoe established the Keen brand. Closed front, well made trekking grip sandals are just SO practical especially when it's too hot to wear boots or even half boots. And these really are well made. I've been using mine now for over a year and they are showing no signs of deterioration at all.

My best sandals ever
I have expected something really not bad for such money, but when they arrived and I tried them (Madeira rocks climbing, ocean shore, walking in the town) - WOW WOW WOW!!!
Just love them!!!
Before going to my holiday I've spent a LOT OF TIME in the Internet trying to find something really good (I done it very seriously - dozens of sites, forums, reviews and etc. - well, I spent a lot of time and target successfully hit, I got what I need:
1. REAL toe bumper - it works 100%.
2. Sturdy outside - comfy inside, whatever you are doing - your feet are abs. safe.
3. Looks very cool, very attractive.
4. Delivered in two days.
5. A little bit expensive - but if you want something outstanding you must pay for that.
6. They had my size - 7.5

Great build quality, and great fit - I have quite wide feet and these fit wonderfully.
My only criticism is that they have a tendency to run hot because of the toe cap - not as much ventilation in this area as I might like - but otherwise great!

best purchase ever
I'd toyed with the idea of getting the newport sandals for a while, now ive had them 4 some time i wished i,d had them sooner, they are the most comfortable sandals i have ever owned, they are at home both on the hills, on the beach or just walking round town, i cannot say enough how very pleased i am with them and would recommend anyone looking for some sandals to buy these, they go with me everywhere and i will never be without a pair again, top marks.

Bought mine last season (2009) for clambering over all terrain including the beach on holiday dog walks and now everyday. Easy to wear and quickly became my favourite footwear. Almost maintenance free. One waterproof spray a day and I'm away. Good product...They will be the first item packed this year!

new take on an old idea!
Excellent shoe for allround summer use. Toe protection is a big plus, giving confidenence to wear in situations, where toes might be vunerable. Like the rugged look and natural leather. Clever minimal fastening.

Great summer shoes delivered promptly
I heartily recommend these Keen Newport sandals if you want tough summer footware with toe protection. The big rubber toe is very visible, but it blends in better on the black colour sandal. These Newports do not have big gaps to let the air in. If you need more ventilation, I recommend the Venice model instead, which I have owned and enjoyed for the last two years. Both models are great for long cycle rides too.

Been said before good looking sandal good fit, which I was worried about.
Feels soooo comfortably on the walks I have done so far this year.
Wanted to get away fom Velcro which always wears out.
Like the toe protection although they look a bit large.

These shoes are great! i live in Taiwan and have 3 pairs now. I have worn them in typhoons and walked up many mountains. They always grip and are never a problem. They dry fast and feel great. They are strong and i really cant fault them. Great value.
The Webtogs group ship quickly and were helpful with an enquiry. The shoes arrived in France 2 or 3 days after ordering - great!

Magic!
These sandals have an excellence of fit like no other, with sound adjustability and sturdiness. They have taken me over many different surfaces (including rocky hot springs) and never failed. An excellent design which is also well made.

Sandles that fit - Hooray!!
The Sunday Times article was "on the money" in describing the KEEN NEWPORT SANDLES.
The are well made, come in 1/2 sizes and due to the draw string tie ups fit broad as well as narrow feet.The toe protection is very important feature and what is more the razor cut soles give tremendous grip.
Thoroughly recommend them

Great sandals
Just got the sandals. They look great and feel good on the feet.
It remains to see when they dissolve.
Then I can tell what they are good for.
Are spare parts available?

Hi Rockwalker, we carry spare bungy's and clips in case you need them, these should be the only spare bits that need replacing.

Just Awesome Sandals
I have had my Keen Newport Sandals for a few weeks now. Usually my sandals would have developed their own unique and somewhat unpleasant odor by now but not my Newport's which is impressive!
Last weekend I used them for the walk in to some sea cliff scrambling. The toe protection was excellent on the sharp rocks and the sole was really gripy scrabbling around on the on the wet rocks.
I have also been using the Newport Sandals for long walks. Seems a small thing but the toe protection is great in long grass and is just enough to keep the morning dew off my feet.
I think if you are looking for a do everything practical sandal you wont go far wrong with the Keen Newport Sandals.
