We agree with this statement as the Men's Targhee II Mid is a lightweight walking boot that will take you where you need to go, with 4mm lugs for traction control and the ESS Shank gives you torsion stability so you can be well supported wherever the trail takes you!The Keen Men's Targhee II Mid boots have a whole range of technology and innovative ideas crammed into them such as the tri-density foot bed and S3 support but what is most important about this walking boot is that it is comfortable and can be worn for activities ranging from gardening to dog walking to trekking. I have tried many walking boots over the years. Without doubt the KeenTarghee II Mid Walking Boots are the best I have purchased. They were comfortable, right out of the box, and have proven to be really waterproof! I spend 2-3 hours in them every day, walking my dogs, so they've been well tested. Especially over the last week, when we've had to cope with so much ice and snow. I will definitely be buying them again. My boots arrived before 8.00 am the day after they were ordered in good time for our trip to Wiltshire.The boots fitted perfectly - I already have a pair of Keen walking shoes and a pair of their walking sandals, so wasn't surprised - but we did 40 miles in 4 days and I was the only one out of the four of us who didn't complain about his feet!

At last
Yes at last,after trying countless walking boots from top brands,finally found one with wide fitting as standard....I have Mens feet and require a wide fitting not scrunched up toes. These are very comfortable straight out of the box...

Slippers for the mountains
I know what size I need with Keen's. The wonderfully wide toe-box means the length is shorter than normal. They don't need breaking in, but a more robust insole is recommended. The service from webtogs was first class - boots were delivered next day.

This is my second pair. I wore the first pair nearly every day for about four years. Eventually the stitching started to go and the sole wore out. A bit soft for mountains but great everywhere else.

Bought these as I have been impressed with Targhee 2 approach shoes but wanted something a little more substantial for Knoydart in order to avoid wearing my Scarpa Mantas. Early days and not "tested" in the hills as yet (only a weekend on Tiree) but build quality, usability and comfort great so far.

Got some good advice from Lucy in your sales team,and ordered a pair of these to wear on an Italian walking holiday this summer.I wanted a lighter weight mid boot,to fit my wide feet(G fitting).First walk of 14 miles,with no issues,great fit and comfort.
I particularly like the lacing "hooks",which help keep tension of laces when booting-up!Despite the lighter weight,the boots look and feel robust.

Great boots
I bought these boots because I have had a pair of Keen Newport sandals for quite some time and have worn them in lots of differing conditions and cannot fault them.
I hoped the Targhee boots would be the same , I have to say they were comfortable straight out of the box and after my first long walk in them my feet still felt very comfortable.

I got this pair for my husband since I have the same boots and really like them. They are waterproof and very comfortable. I wore them a lot last winter and my feet stayed warm even when it was 20 degrees below 0. This summer I can wear them without getting sweaty. I have also had them when it has been extremely wet and could stay out for hours with out getting wet. I am glad I could get them from England, they cost almost the double here in Sweden. Quality boot with attention to detail – e.g. laces are slightly lumpy and don't come undone.Good heel cushioning. They feel insulated/warmer compared to the Merrell I usually opt for.
