The Women's Keen Newport Sandals are the legend that helped launch Keen Footwear as a brand. Originally designed by Martin Keen, he wanted to make a sandal that stopped his toes getting bashed around whilst on his boat. The result of this design was the Keen Newport with it's recognisable toe bumper. These Newport's are designed for women, and are incredibly stylish and immensely practical.The Women's Keen Newport Sandals feature leather webbing with AEGIS microbe shield built in to the lining underneath. Along with the Microban bonded to the footbed, these resist nasty whiffs like no other pair of sandals. If that wasn't enough however, the Newport's can also go in the washing machine - even though they are leather! These women's sandals are excellent in water, but if you are going to be in the sea on a regular basis with them, take a look at the Venice or Newport H2 sandals which are salt water resistant.
On the bottom, the Newports have decent lugs heading in all directions to keep you great traction across a variety of terrains. The Women's Newports also feature razor siping. This siping breaks the surface of any film of water ensuring awesome grip on wet decks, pavements etc. The toe bumper immediately signifies these out as part of the Keen Newport family, and after you stub your toes the first time with no ill effects, you will wonder why you didn't get a pair of Newport sandals before!

Tech details
Weight: 317g / 11ozFit Tip: Exceptionally wide fitting, Keen are both rather wide but also a touch shorter than most normal brands. If you swing between two sizes, always take the larger of them for Keen.
LINING: Hydrophobic Mesh, feel wise it's like super soft wetsuit material.
RUBBER: Doesn't leave a mark wherever it goes
UPPER: Lovely natural leather
Keen Patented Toe Protection: Keep those pinkies safe with the large rubber bumper that goes over the toes
AEGIS Microbe Shield controls the bacteria and fungi that makes sandals go wiffy. Nothing damaged the environment whilst doing this.
Metatomical Footbed Design: This cuddles both feet naturally with loads of support for the arches.

Very Good Sandals
I've looked all over for sandals like these, I've tried many styles but none were a patch on the Keen. They are a little pricey but quality costs that bit more.

keen walking sandals
I love the sandals wish I had known about them before. They are a wide fitting which is great for me love the colours and really comfy. So pleased I am thinking of another pair also glad I found the website as really efficient would use them again.

A really nice trekkingsandal! Great support for you feet and a nice "toeprotection". The sizes are slightly small, order half a size larger than you normally have...

Love these sandals
Bought a pair of these when I was in New York years ago. Had to buy another pair in seed pearl since they are without black soles as I'm going on a sailing holiday & the owners say no black soles. I adore these sandals & can't praise them enough BUT be careful with sizing. Keen appear to have changed their sizing so my old pair were a 6 & I had to buy a 6.5 (in both cases - the old 6 & new 6.5 -the sandal said EU 39.5) to get the same size. a bit pricey for sandals but you get what you pay for.

Keen Womens Newport Sandals
I alternate between three pairs of Keen shoes (unless the snow is too deep and I have to wear snowboots) shoes, sandals, and these which are half way between. These Newport Sandals replace a pair I wear most of the time, which I have had for over five years. Great ankle support - I walk twice a day on rough hill (wet grass, heather, rabbit holes) and it took them 5 years before the grip ran out. Only gripe is that they seem a bit smaller than the last ones, maybe my feet have grown.

Worth waiting for
I took my time deciding on Keen's Newport sandals and I am glad I did. They are excellent and I have no trouble wearing them in, within days I could wear them for 8-10 hrs without any discomfort. I can't wait to try them out in Yellowstone

Best walking sandal ever
I wore this sandal in all weathers and all terrains. My feet were well protected over seashore rocks and they remained comfortable and dry in pouring rain.
They were an excellent buy.

Really pleased with my purchase. The shoes have great support and grip. Allow you to wear them walking on reasonably serious terrain and just walking down the high street. Also very impressed with customer service of Webtogs and would use them again.

Well pleased!
These sandals arrived promptly and were comfortable and felt supportive as soon as I put them on. Have used them for low level walking, found them fine. Very good toe protection and grip. Only criticism is that the sole lining (not leather?)makes my feet quite hot in the tropical weather we've been having! I think the price is quite high for a sandal, but these are also a walking shoe, so good value, presuming they last well.

I'm a Keen sandal addict, this is my third pair, they last about 2 years.
The best with buying from Webtogs was the service. The first pair did not arrive, I waited and waited, the twelve days were almost over and I was due to leave London. I called the Webtogs team and explained my predicament. They dispatched a new pair, no quibble and I had my sandals in two days!

Womens Newport Sandals - I really like it
It was my second attempt to buy Keen Sandals as previous design was not for me - I wear very small size and strips have left my toes not protected enough (I needed these sandals for work).
I have read some reviews before my purchase and followed other people advise to buy one size bigger as Keen sandals run one size smaller. All true:).
I need these shoes for my work, sometimes for 15 hours. And yes, there is possitive difference:). My previous shoes were of similar design which was good but everything else was not as good... So, after long day at work I can tell the difference.
It is about week or two when I started to wear them so the last question of mine is how long they will last. If as long as previous very cheep one (two and half season) I would be happy with this purchase. I can agree to pay more for good quality. Though in perfect world it would be more affordable for not rich ones:)
Anyway I recommend these shoes for everyone who cares for healthy feet and a little comfort on long hot day at work / outdoors:)

Very comfortable with good grip and adjustable fastening. However i do think that the sizing is not as accurate as previously. The sandels are shorter than all my other 6.5 Keen shoes

My feet love these
Perfect fit for someone like me with broad feet. Prevents stubbed toes while still leaving me feeling sure-footed in rocky terrain. Also good on my bike where conventional sandals leave my toes feeling vulnerable.

Brilliant walking sandal!
Brilliant walking sandal! Exactly what I was looking for. They arrived within 24 hours of ordering and are really comfortable and perfect for summer rambling.
They are are a little tricky to get on if you are not too agile but once on they are a perfect fit.
