The Lowe Alpine Cerro Torre rucksack is a classic Lowe Alpine trekking/expedition pack. It has gained it’s reputation by serving people in extreme situations all over the world. This years model is lighter but with increased functionality. It's clean lines make it ideal for mountain trips and treks at high altitude.Extra features include; Rain cover, 2 compartments with zip out divider, stretch water bottle pockets, hydration compatible, SOS panel, key clip, mitt friendly zip pulls, unique walking pole tip grabbers for secure storage, Noggin Notch TM for head clearance, pole and ice axes are clear of lower compartment allowing access, secure internal lid zipper pocket, removable GPS harness pocket, ski slots.

Hydration CompatibleThese are backpacks which are hydration bladder compatible. They have special outlets to allow for a tube and the shoulder straps have attachments to secure the tube while moving. |

Rip StopThis is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven rip-stop reinforcement threads in a cross hatch pattern. It is woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Rip-stop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing. |

Completely outstanding heavy load pack

Used this on a 5 day wild camping tour across the Lakes. Performed fantastically overall carrying a load of 31kg (c68lb).What I liked - 1) Comfort - TFX system being microadjustable made for a perfect and comfortable fit and hip belt was v comfortable and transferred the weight just like it should. 2) Storage - Top lid is cavernous to store a lot of gear for quick grabbing and main compartment dividing into two works well. 3) Quality - Pack simply feels strong and sturdy which you want it to if you're lugging around a lot of gear. 4) Features - Integrated rain cover and hydration pocket both proved indispensable. 5) Longevity - Together with the above and the fact its a 65:85l pack (And therefore flexible in its use) I can see this being used a lot and lasting a long time.
Things to be aware of 1) Bottom Pole stashes could be easier to tighten. 2) Sleeping bag compartment zip can sometimes be tough to open & close. 3) No outside pockets apart from lid as this is an alpine style pack (not important for me but if you like that to organise gear then this isnt the model for you - call and ask Gareth for a recomendation).
