The Essence pants weight less than 150g and are super packable due to the super light 12 Dernier Membrain fabric. Positive first impressions
Very fast delivery. Great customer care; hits just the right note. These trousers are startlingly light and pack very small. Seem a bit frail at first, but they're really tough, and the fabric seems to be a major technical advance. In use, almost un-noticeable, except that your legs are warm and dry. Performed well in urban cycling, as well as dodging showers during a recent fortnight on Lundy. Nice cut: well-tailored. Wet Ron Hills DO dry out inside these things, so breatheability is good. Let's see how they last long-term...

No damp patch for me !
I bought a pair of these to wear over the top of my normal clothes when doing mundane things like walking the dog.. They are superb. Really light and comfortable, you forget you are wearing them. They've kept me dry in heavy rain, and couple with my TNF all-terrain jacket they make for a superb waterproof outer shell. The days of having to change clothes before I go to work, or sitting in a damp patch all day are long gone :-)

fantastic waterproof trousers and great service. Marmot Essence pants are perfect for cycling and walking in the rain. they go nicely with my mica jacket to keep me bone dry, even in the wettest and windiest weather. thanks webtogs.

Great product
I bought the Marmot Essence Pant, Mica Jacket and Crystalline Jacket for me and my wife. All products seem great so far. Very very light weight, but also very functional. They fit nicely, even though we ordered sizes too big, so they can fit over down jackets. Pleased to see pockets in the Jackets, despite it being a super lightweight product. Hoods on the Jackets work nicely. Only downsides worth mentioning are they can get quite sweaty compared to my Paramo waterproofs. They also let a little water in in areas that rub against your rucksack/straps etc. Certainly not a huge amount, but worth mentioning. Overall though I am very happy and they pack down to nothing!

Super Light!
These waterproofs are great so far. They were delivered in a faster than stated time.
Upon first inspection the fabric seems very thin and fragile, but is soft to touch and has a small amount of stretch. Very comfortable to wear due to articulated knees, and stuff into the rear pocket easily.
I haven't used them for long enough to comment on breathability yet as the weather has been so dry.
My XL ones weight 190 grams!

It's wet in Scotland
These are great trousers. Very, very comfortable, you can hardly notice you have them on. Zips at bottom could do with being a little longer, but otherwise fantastic waterproofs
