DAC Press-Fit

tent poles are a new revolutionary way to connect tent poles together using the strong elasticity of aluminium to grip consistently and tightly at every pitch. The idea is to connect the poles through force to eliminate pole failure.

Rip Stop -

This is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. It is woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Ripstop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing.

Marmot Limelight 2P tent

I bough this tent for summer use on my motorcycle to compliment my winter tent and have used it once thus far. The tent is very light, packs small and is very fast pitching taking less than five minutes.
Ventilation is excellent without being draughty and as I chose the Lake District for the tents debut complete with a night of fairly heavy rain I am able to confirm that it's fully waterproof! Space is adequate for two and biking gear, helmets/clothing inside and boots in the vestibule.
I'm not really able to comment on stability as I haven't used it in high winds, the night I camped was windy but not significantly however the tent didn't need guying and was stable. I am sure that the tent will perform in windy conditions but as I have no experience I have scored 4/5.
Overall a cracking tent, well made and excellent value for money.

Great value for money

I bought this tent to use for cycle touring, so I was looking for something lightweight and that packs up small, but still had plenty of space for me and my gear. The lime light 2 doesn't really rank too high in any of these fields except for the space inside the tent, but for it's price I found it to be the best value for money. Shorter poles would be great though. I had no problems in bad weather still have to test it in high winds though

Great tent!

Bought this tent as a motorcycle touring tent for one, plus my gear. Very pleased with it. Nice and roomy, with the dome construction giving you loads of headroom for faffing about and sorting your stuff out (unlike more traditional constructions). Also, handy pockets and loft, for storage. As a "first timer" instructions are poor (assumption seems to be, that you will know what you are doing!) but there's some very informative stuff on Youtube, so have a look at that and have a playabout at home with it to get accustomed, before venturing further. One small gripe is that it comes with sufficient pins and cord for "normal" pitching, but you will need another couple of bits of cord and another couple of pins (plus another 4 for the footprint) for full stormproof pitching...but don't let this put you off, you're talking a couple of quid. Inner construction has plenty of mesh to keep weight down, and makes it very comfortable in hot weather, haven't tried it in more inclement conditions yet. All in all, very happy with it.
P.S. be very careful with the poles, first time. There's a plastic connector holding them together in the middle. I have heard of people breaking it with clumsy handling, but not a problem, as long a you are aware of it!
