Zipped pockets throughout so you don't lose anything and then lycra bound cuffs with thumb holes to keep the heat in.

I recently decided I wanted a top that could be worn whenever, at the weekend, on the commute to work, at the beach all without being a huge thick thing that weights you down, doesn't regulate body temp and just looks like something your nan knitted.I ordered this with a lack of knowledge of soft shells and Marmot themselves.
But after a few beers I decided to go for it after consulting with a self proclaimed outdoor specialist mate of mine who may as well be a rep of theirs.
I wasn't let down.
Once the parcel arrived at my place of work I was worried I had been sent a wallet by accident in this 'small tog box' as it weighed nothing. Thinking I was on candid camera I looked around to find the crew but there was none. Fortunately upon opening I was pleased to find it was actually the top I had ordered and wore it for the rest of the day!
Despite the lack of weight this has it feels fairly thick even if it isn't. I am sure this material could take a fair bit of abuse as it is very well built. Time will tell I guess, but so far it has been great just over a tshirt, or over a shirt and top on the way to work in the morning, whilst everyone else is in huge coats and clinging to their coffees. I also defiantly win on the manoeuvrability front thanks to the 4 way stretch fabric.
No messing.
The price could be a bit better but I would happily pay the premium for this piece of kit.
Combined with a charming wit, it can get you a few number as well.
The Marmot Mens Vars Hoody is amazing. Highly recommend!
