Rip Stop -This is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. It is woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Ripstop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing. |

When does the packaging weigh more than the product inside it. Answer....when you buy this jacket.
It is so light you don't know that you have it on.
Wore it for first time when external temp was -2 and with short sleeve shirt and thin jumper under the jacket; the jumper wasn't necessary.
Very prompt delivery by Webtogs.

Excellent bit of kit, packs into it's own pocket (the left one) and compresses down really well. Been with me on my most recent Lakes trip, worn around wild camp. Very warm for it's weight. Like the two deep inside pockets as well. Really nice functional jacket which I would recommend to anyone.REVIEW BY: James0806
