The Marmot Mica Jacket is a regular winner of prestigious design awards, and couldn’t be much lighter and still be called a jacket. The Mica is made for travelling light in tough conditions but still packs in the features. Thanks to MemBrain Strata fabric and 100% taped seams the Mica keeps the elements out but stays highly breathable. The main zip is water resistant and with Velcro adjusters on the cuffs and a simple hem drawcord the whole jacket forms a protective shell completed by the attached adjustable hood. The Marmot Mica weighs in at under 200g, making it ideal for wild camping or as a lightweight jacket for the inevitable British downpour on a day walk.Features

Great Product!
I bought the Marmot Essence Pant, Mica Jacket and Crystalline Jacket for me and my wife. All products seem great so far. Very very light weight, but also very functional. They fit nicely, even though we ordered sizes too big, so they can fit over down jackets. Pleased to see pockets in the Jackets, despite it being a super lightweight product. Hoods on the Jackets work nicely. Only downsides worth mentioning are they can get quite sweaty compared to my Paramo waterproofs. They also let a little water in in areas that rub against your rucksack/straps etc. Certainly not a huge amount, but worth mentioning. Overall though I am very happy and they pack down to nothing!

Great Product and service
Great product. Folds nice and small, ideal for the briefcase. I'm having none of the reported zip problems. First time I wore it I got caught in a downpour. 100% waterproof, so much so that my trousers got soaked. Highly recommend.

I've needed a lightweight summer waterproof for a while and the reviews of this jacket seemed to fit my reqs. The jacket is very lightweight but so far is very waterproof and appears to be more breathable than other kit I have had. So 2 big plus points there. I can wear it with just a base layer or on colder days with a fleece too and the jacket performs well. My main issue is with the pocket zips which you have to be careful with or you always get the lining caught up in the zip. The main zip is ok, a bit stiff but works fine. I ordered a Large originally but found it was a bit small so sent it back and swopped for an XL. Great service by Webtogs, absolutely no issues and no waiting ages for the replacement.REVIEW BY: Rob2441

marmot mica jacket
bought this jacket to use in this years OMM, it was a toss up between this and similar RAB product. The mica won on price. It was good value about 25-30% cheaper than similar products. It is very light. Well made, performs well. Perhaps would like to have seen a pullover smock version as well. Only negative comment [small one] is that the hood volume control could be a bit better.

What a 5 * Bargain
I have just used this jacket while doing the National 3 peaks challenge, it coped with 80mph winds and rain on Snowdon, and being worn with a thin fleece kept the chill out on the Ben. Was cool and light enough to wear with a base layer all day, and the reflective strips look great in the night climb shots. Great colour too.
Easily worth its money, my only tiny grumble is the zip being a bit sticky.

very good jacket
Hello,
I have bought this jacket after reading many reviews about various WATERPROOF jackets on the market.
I commute by motorcycle every day ( no matter what the weather, even snow, and I have new leather jacket with body armour for the summer, so a waterproof stuff is a must.
I got a green colour to be seen on the road, size M to be able to wear it over the leather ( and I am a woman size 8 ) ,, Mica is sooo light, and packable, and yes it is waterproof. I am very happy with it.

Ultra Light Jacket
Unbelievably light jacket, folds up into its pocket, yet provides decent emergency rain protection without the need to haul too much extra weight around. And it even looks good too.
Its still only early days so it may delaminate or fall apart at some point, but at the moment it works brilliantly and breathes superbly, it is hard to believe this was only £90 incl postage.

Hot & Humid? This is the jacket for you
I have had this jacket nearly 3 weeks and it continues to rock my world. It saw action in the Brecons, and despite some sharp ascents and a fast pace, the jacket coped admirably in terms of breathability.
Yesterday and today saw Thunder and lightning, just wearing it out and about, I was never sticky and was bone dry despite torrential rain. Combined with the fact this goes to the size of a small apple in my sack, this is the first thing in my bag for a summer day out on the hills.

Does not get lighter than this
The Marmot Mica Jacket has got to be the lightest waterproof I have ever seen.
Build quality has not been compromised for weight on the Mica and Marmot have managed to include some really nice touches such as a water resistant front zip, laminated front zip storm flap, laminated cuffs, and a laminated hood peak.
The Mica makes a great windproof PLUS if you are looking for more protection than a wind shirt but don't want to carry anything to heavy.
The hood is really good providing great left and right vision and good adjust ability. The hood is not big enough to go over a climbing, or cycling helmet.
