The Marmot Men's Midweight Long Sleeved Crew base layer top from Marmot is a special base layer garment as it is made from Coconuts..... Well it's family tree would be a palm, put it that way! The Midweight LS Crew uses Cocona Technology which is the final product from treated coconut fibres. These are used because of their natural qualities such as, anti odour, high durability, high comfort, sun protection, and great wicking properties. Polartec Power Dry is also used in construction so that together the main fabrics come together and produce a body hugging, deodourising, quick drying and comfortable base layer. Brilliant.Features

good buy
A very lightweight crew that does exactly what it says on the tin. Wicks well, and very snug but breathable under a montane sabretooth shell.
Only quibble is that once it's snagged, it won't stop unravelling, shame really as it's a nifty good looking piece of kit.
Perhaps a bit pricey at the price stated, but what price comfort and quality eh?

New to baselayers?
Excellent baselayer even if worn on its own in warmer climates. Does exactly as it claims with fanstastic wicking ability. 'Pong' factor not yet tested.... 4 day hike to Machhu Pichhu in June should prove test enough! Price matches quality and over a long run, or hike, should prove good value.
