A part zip and lightweight Waterproof over-trouser, the Marmot Mens PreCip Pants add another level of functionality to Marmot's excellent range of lightweight, full-protection rain pants.PreCip is Marmot's “next step” technology that enables them to construct the lightest, most compressible, technical, waterproof and breathable wet weather gear in the world. Ventilated and breathable to keep you dry from the inside, the PreCip Pants has plenty of pockets and custom fit features to keep you warm, dry and comfortable.

They have a nice feel to them. The seams are well made and the fabric does not appear to me easily ripped. There are pockets which are zipped, much better than velcro. Though they do appear to be thin- though would you want anything in these pockets? There are not that big, but good for the odd bits. The sizing was fine and fitted comfortably, which was a shock as normally brands are skimpy on there sizes. Overall for the price and quality I would recommend these.

Marmot Precip - a bargain
A quality lightweight trouser that is a bargain compared to the paclite alternatives. I have used mine for walking and golfing (as they are far cheaper than golf equivalents). They are a 3 season trouser, you'd need an underlayer during the winter months but are perfect to throw over a pair of shorts in the warmer months.

precip pants
Very impressed with these . Some nice features like pockets and cinch ties on the ankles make them good to cycle in too .
A superb cut and fit make movement unrestricted .
to sum up they have the cut and features of pants twice the price from other manufacturers .
I would say care is needed with such light pants , but they feel just as strong as the gore tex equivalents at half the price .

Easy to get through on the phone, sound advice on sizing and best price I could find. Pants themselves arrived within 2-3 days.
