The Marmot Scree Pant is a light-weight, versatile softshell pant that excels for everything from spring ski tours to summer alpine climbs. With the m3 fabric the Scree Pant is optimised for breathability but remains water repellent and stretchy. 4 zipped pockets, 2 main with a rear and discrete thigh positioned pocket, give ample storage whilst the elasticated waist and ankle zips ensure a good close fit.

Exceeded expectation
Used on the Glen Sheil Ridge in a mixed bag of weather. Not too hot in the sunshine, kept me dry in the rain and warm in the gales. Good buy.

Best Trousers ever
I am a big guy and its often hard to find outdoor trousers that are comfortable and strong and workable as well outside as inside. They look good, they feel good and web togs provided where other suppliers fail. well done!!

Ideal kit
Excellent kit - comfortable and well designed.
Ankle zips hare gusseted, and the drawcord at the hem is very useful.
So comfortable, I've even used them for running. Cut slightly larger than I expected.

For big old persons
Worked really well for large old person..toggles on bottom meant that waist size and leg length did not need to match...went 1 000 m in Alps no problem..fixed shed roof..no rubbing..pockets sensibly placed and zip heads did not stick or catch..waterproof enough for minor showers/burns..light and wearable anywhere

Well made medium weight pair of pants ideal for summer alpine pursuits.
Comfortable and quick drying. Yet to really test how they perform in heavy rain storm but that is not their function. Major selling point you can get short leg size - important on zip leg products

Well Designed.
I bought the scree pants to use when rock climbing.
The abscence of articulated knees does not impinge on the range and degree of movement - the stretchy nature of the fabric makes these trousers more than adequate for climbing in.
Not had chance to try them outside yet, worn them indoors - on the verge of being too warm in them (crotch got sweaty).
However, I think they will be fine for indoor winter use and possibly in coldish weather outdoors.
The build quality seems excellent, although I haven't subjected them to a prolonged period of wear.
I'm a 32-33" waist and a 34" leg, so was pleased to find trousers to fit my dimensions - and they fit well, although I do use a webbing belt (there are sufficient belt loops).
Number of pockets is sufficient and they are well placed.
The material feels nice next to the skin.
I would certainly recommend these trousers for spring, autumn climbing and maybe on colder days - probably not suitable for hot summer days.

Great pair of trousers!
Used and abused in the Alps. Comfortable and took a lot of punishment over glacier crossings and ascents with good wind resistance. I would recommend these trousers to anyone wishing to purchase a reliable well designed piece of outdoor kit.

Good trousers
Have worn these trousers 5 times on hikes in Snowdonia. They are very comfy and work well when scrambling because they are very stretchy. They do repel water although I have only used them in a light shower. They will be ok to use all year round even in winter. I am a size 34 waist and need a long leg fit which these trousers are - some others makes that I have tried are to short in the leg. Overall I am pleased with everything about these trousers and cannot fault them on anything.

Great product
My wife "Tiny Hiker" swears by these hiking trousers, so I thought I would give them a go. They fit really well & are extremely comfortable for a full days hike. Quite expensive, but I think worth it.
