The Men's Sabretooth Jacket from Montane gives us a technical, year round, and versatile soft shell jacket which can be used as part of a layering system in colder climates or as an outer garment during warmer spells. The Sabretooth is constructed from Polartec Power Sheild which is a 1-layer protective body which blocks out all but the worst conditions. It delivers extended breathability, abrasion resistance and stretch to enhance your outdoor adventure further.
Features on the Sabretooth such as the map sized Napoleon chest pockets and roll away helmet compatible hood add to its great looks and technical ability so the jacket will consistently perform to all your needs and wants.

I bought this on the strength of universally good reviews and it's living up to my high expectations. Quality & design is spot on, right down to the 'controllability' of the hood. I do get a lot of condensation in the pockets even without getting particularly warm, which means you need to watch out if you're carrying anything moisture-sensitive like an iPhone. It's very snug fitting for the size description, so err on the big side if you're buying unseen.A small but significant final point - the material is nice and quiet so you don't end up with lots of annoying rustling when you're enjoying the solitude of a good hillwalk.
