The Mountain Equipment Glacier 1250 sleeping bag is designed using decades of experience to pack the essentials of a good night's sleep into an affordable bag. Using 675+ down reduces the cost of a full winter sleeping bag, and Mountain Equipment have compensated for the weight hit of heavier down by using trapezoid baffles which are more economical with fabric along with a lightweight outer shell. The outer, water resistant Drilite Loft shell was designed specifically for protecting down and combining breathability with keeping weight to a minimum.

The all important foot and head areas are well covered, with a 5 baffle Bulls-Eye foot that uses a ring of down around three stacked layers and a Sharks Toe design to help feet lie at a natural angle without compressing the insulation. The hood has been carefully shaped, with a HALO baffle and 3D neck collar. The end result of all these features is a bag perfectly suited to the long nights when the temperature hits double figures below zero.

Features

  • 90/10 down with a minimum fill power of 675 US.
  • Dri Lite Loft outer shell is durably water resistant to keep snow and moisture at bay.
  • Supplied with lightweight stuff-sack and large mesh storage sack.
  • Full-length size zip with anti-snag baffle.
  • Gemini neck baffle.
  • Trapezoid baffles to use less fabric.
  • Anatomical hood

Tech details

Weight: 1920g / 68oz

675 Fill Power  This down provides a perfect solution for people looking for a warm and compressible down product without it costing the earth. 665 fill power down is also a bit less delicate than higher fill power down making it ideal for prolonged use.
Drilite is an exceptionally light, highly breathable and water resistant shell fabric which protects down clothing and sleeping bags from dampness. Drilite is used on most Mountain Equipment down items due to it's unique ability to protect down from the weather at such a low weight.
Sharks Toe Foot - otherwise known as an angled foot box, Mountain Equipment use this in many of their down sleeping bags ranges and what it does is allow your feet to rest in a natural position without causing the sleeping bag to become taught. If the bag becomes taught then the down will not be allowed to loft properly and this will result in a loss of heat and insulation around your feet causing discomfort as nobody likes to have cold toes.
