Building on the success of this, we have launched our first ever specific team jacket.
Trail Magazine, October 2009........We have loved this jacket for many years, and now Mountain Equipment has added a Mountain Rescue Team version, with extra reflective material and reinforced fabric. The Kongur has not changed much, as it is hard to improve such a great jacket. It’s made from Gore-Tex Pro Shell, top-notch for waterproofness and condensation control. There is a little more length in the body than some other jackets. A double stormflap protects the front zip from rain. Movement in the sleeves is ideal for mountaineering, while the four chest pockets allow hand warming and storage when wearing a harness or rucksack belt. There are pit zips to prevent overheating. The wire-peaked hood fits over a helmet and moves with the head. It’s one of the best jackets around.

Gore-Tex Pro Shell is the top end Gore-Tex fabric, designed for the more demanding conditions and comes in 2 and 3 layer varieties. Gore-Tex Pro Shell has improved abrasion resistance through a careful selection of outer fabrics, with any heat insulation layers suspended freely between the laminate and inner lining on 2 layer fabric and a special, high performance membrane and specially developed inner lining on 3 layer fabrics. Targeted at the outdoor professional Gore-Tex Pro Shell is the most hard wearing of the Gore fabrics. |

Helmet Compatible jackets have hoods which are compatible for use with a helmet. The hood allows four way movement so never inhibiting your vision while reaching or stretching in awkward positions. |

I heard about this Jacket from a friend, and it is a lovely jacket, I camp/walk in all weathers and this is the jacket for me its long in length covers ya bum and the hood comes right over keeping the storm out and you dry, the staff at webtogs made this purchase the best and easiest I have experienced, they price matched it and I got it the next day perfect just wish all shopping experiences were like this. ME Kongur Jacket
I bought this MRT jacket for my son and was so impressed with the product that I recently bought a Kongur jacket for myself. It has had limited use on the hill so far but has performed well in heavy sleet showers.

Does what it says on the tin

One of the few jackets that covers your backside, and overall on of the best, it seems the word "technical" when applied to Gortex jackets these days means to short and to tight, but this jacket is a great fit,and one of the best, however there will always be shortcomings and always room for improvement, less stiff cuffs and a soft chin guard would nice, as for "pit zips" there is no purpose or reason and never will be, just one more thing, "where are the inside pockets"?...............REVIEW BY: Greeneye

Top Jacket, Best ME jacket used
Brilliant jacket used in all aspects of British Weather, so usually rain!!
I'm usually a Size Large, but this jacket is a large fit and I use a Medium.
The jacket as quite a few high visibility reflective strips which help you to be identified easier in bad weather or when loosing light this is an ideal feature when taking teams up various ridges and mountains, as you become more visible
