Mountain Equipment has produced the Men’s Windchill Grip Glove as an all round dexterous and lightweight winter windproof glove. Not only is the Windchill Grip great for winter walkers but also, hard though it maybe to believe, one of Dave Macleod’s mixed climbing gloves of choice having been used to breathtaking effect on many a Scottish mixed horror! Recommendation enough?
Gore Windstopper is the barrier material of choice, and is 100 percent windproof and highly breathable fabric. Box finger construction ensures a comfortable and precise fit, and the extended cuff is a welcome addition to fit over your shell Jacket.

GORE Windstopper
soft shell fabrics. These are a 3 layer laminate of a hard wearing outer fabric, and a wicking lining fabric, with the windstopper membrane sandwiched between. This offers superb protection, being totally windproof and stops snow and rain in all but the worst conditions.
I am a postie and wanted something to tackle the problem of holding the mail with one hand and sorting it with the other in fairley extreme conditions. These were a great buy although perhaps not the cheapest windstopper glove, the grip and dexterity was excellent while being very warm. I didn't need fully waterproof gloves as usually the temperature rises when it rains so it's not so painful on your hands without gloves. I would say that they are shower proof but I havn't tested them in a downpour for the reason stated above. If you want a good all rounder that can be used for a variety of activities such as cycling or MTB I would recommend these.

Gloves nearly 100% windproof, & shower proof; they still stay warm enough when wet too. The silicon fingers/palm grip is especially impressive, they grip better than my natural hand.
Glove initially feels quite bulky, but are actually snug fitting, & very dexterous. Excellent for hiking, & general pottering.
Too warm for me for mountain biking if temp. is above approx 8° Celsius, hands overly perspire, & the snug cuffs especially become sopping wet with sweat. But they’re not designed or marketed for MTB

Difficult to buy gloves online (without trying them on)
The external grip pads work well, but it makes the palm fit too stiff to conform to the hand
The Wind Stopper material does the job in terms of keeping the wind chill at bay

The gloves are very tight fitting so I'm not sure if the sizing gude is quite accurate. However, I have worn them on a couple of occasions and they do keep the wind out. They are going to be tested in the near future when I am away on a training weekend on the moors so I may have a better idea on their quality and usability then. Good speedy delivery from Webtogs again.

These gloves are the business soft to the touch comfortable and totally windproof wore them on a 15 mile bike ride the other day the weather was cold but my hands were toasty.
