The Men's Mountain Stretch Pant from Mountain Equipment is a durable weather resistant mountain pant ideal for all round outdoor use. Voted 'Best in Test' recently by Country Walking these popular pants benefit from Mountain Equipment's own Stretchlite MTN fabric.Stretchlite MTN gives excellent 4-way stretch and combines comfort, durability and warmth. They are designed as a three-season pant so perfect for winter walking and high altitude trekking in the Greater Ranges but expect to find them too hot for summer, even in the UK.

Great for all weather
Excellent all-year-round walking and mountain trousers. They have a good amount of stretch, very breathable and water resistant. I've used them over the last 2 years in all kinds of weather and have come to rely on them unless there are extreme conditions. The price may be a little high, but given their adaptability they're well worth the extra money. I've just bought a second pair!

pros- flattering fit, wind and water resistant stretchy material, Robust.Cons- needs a semi elasticated waist and more, better positioned pockets, Drab colour.

Excellent trousers
These trousers are excellent. Pretty good price, but really well made. Good secure pockets, warm material - too hot for summer wear but good for cooler temperatures. First time ive been able to get long fitting, despite trying a number of specialist shops

Mountain Equipment Stretch Pant
I'd been looking for a versatile walking pant for a while and I've always liked the Mountain Equipment brand as it always seems great value for money - and this was no exception. The pant is very comfortable and light and does move with your body when walking or scrambling! it has several pockets all with zips which are useful. The knee articulation is very good as well as the calf zip that pulls it in if it's windy. I've worn them with gaiters which with their close lower leg fitting is great. The material is really strong and in light rain can be worn without having to put on over-trousers. In torrential rain, ok they do get wet through, but I didn't get cold in them and they dried quickly in the warmth of the pub at the end of the walk. The thing I like the most is that they don't ride down at the back when taking big steps, even with those like myself who have thighs that could kick start jumbo jets. A really good buy!
