The Mountain Equipment Snowline sleeping bag is arguably the finest all-round, go anywhere, do anything bag on the planet. From the long dark nights of a Highland winter to the expanses of the Tibetan plateau, the Snowline will keep you safe and warm.
All Mountain Equipment Extreme Sleeping Bags use very high quality 700+ 93/7 Down ensuring a high level of warmth to weight ratio and a very small pack size.
Over the upper body Mountain Equipment are using an advanced vertical V baffle construction, you could say it looks bit like a row of Toblerone chocolate bars if you can visualise that. The advantage to you is this prevents the down migrating to the sides of the bag thus keeping you warmer.
At the foot of the sleeping bag Mountain Equipment use a Sharks toe design which means the top of the bag is longer that the bottom making the sleeping bag feel bigger without adding a great deal of weight. This is then finished off with a 7 channel foot plug which basically means the down wont settle at the bottom of the foot plug and you will have warmer feet.
The Extreme bags from Mountain Equipment also feature a patented elastic stitching feature called EXL. This reduces the dead air space in the sleeping bag which means you will be warmer quicker and sleep warmer for the weight of the fill than in any other bag.

Driliteis an exceptionally light, highly breathable and water resistant shell fabric which protects down clothing and sleeping bags from dampness. Drilite is used on most Mountain Equipment down items due to it's unique ability to protect down from the weather at such a low weight. |

Sharks Toe Foot- otherwise known as an angled foot box, Mountain Equipment use this in many of their down sleeping bags ranges and what it does is allow your feet to rest in a natural position without causing the sleeping bag to become taught. If the bag becomes taught then the down will not be allowed to loft properly and this will result in a loss of heat and insulation around your feet causing discomfort as nobody likes to have cold toes. |

Rip Stop -This is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. It is woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Ripstop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing. |

Combination Down Construction- High Altitude and Expedition down gear tend to use a combination of box walled and stitch through construction to reduce heat loss and spread the down evenly across the product while keeping the down in place. Combining the two construction techniques and the finest down create the warmest and and most effective heat retaining products. |
