The Petzl Tikka XP 2 headlamp integrates two light sources as well as a Wide Angle lens with a simple open-close feature, allowing the user to choose between a long distance focused beam and flood beam proximity lighting. This headlamp is equipped with a white high-output LED and a red LED. The white LED delivers 80 lumens in maximum mode and lights up to 68 meters. In economic mode, it can reach a burn-time of 190 hours. The red LED provides lighting to preserve night vision or to become a strobe light for increased safety, for example in an urban environment. TIKKA XP 2 can be used with lithium batteries to decrease weight or improve performance in cold weather.Features

Not as good as it claims
Bought this head torch as it claimed to be the most powerful of the Petzl 'non battery pack' head torches.
Its small and built to a very high standard and should last ages, battery life is good too as are the myriad of functions the torch offers.
Ok, it is powerful for what it is and should suit the needs of most buyers well, but in hindsight there are others out there for the same money which perform better.
Still use mine as a back up torch in my search kit but for main rescue work I tend to use LED Lenser branded torches (Webtogs take note) as these are by far the best torches money can buy!
Overall, if you want a powerful torch for 90% of activities then you cant go far wrong with one of these.
