Does the Job!
Having usually used a Sigg water bottle in the past, I decided i would try a Platypus for a change. It does the job, My only negative was Why not include acover for the nozzle as standard. Apart from that Happy with it!

Great piece of Equipment
Bought the Hoser for my daughter doing her Duke of Edinburgh camping and this was ideal. Very easy to use and the hose worked very well.

What I wanted/expected
I wanted lightweight for racing, happy to expend with durability. I didn't want to have to carry extra weight just so they could shove a 10 yr guarantee on it.
So it depends what you're after I guess. This bladder is superlight and simple, it works fine, it doesn't taint the water with a nasty plastic taste. The flow rate is inferior to my camelbak but it does what it needs to.

Really good buy
Bought this to aid my teenage son on a 25+ mile walk for his D of E Bronze award. Much easier than carrying bottles! Really well made. Good value.

Timesaver!
Once filled and installed in your rucsac it is quite easy to drink from without stopping your activity (the mouthpiece takes a little getting used to).The only drawback is you can't tell how much you've drunk, so could run dry before you've finished your expedition.

Great for family walks
This is great to throw in your bag on the family walk! I love it and wouldn't be without it now...all the family members have one (the kids have the 1L version in their bags) and we all stay hydrated.
