The Men's Hispar Gaiter from Rab is a simple and effective system for protecting your lower legs from the mud and debris of day to day life on the hill - at any time of the year. 3-layer eVent fabric keeps the elements at bay while working hard to keep you dry and managing the sweat from the inside out.Features

These really paid dividends during a long weekend of photography in the Scottish Highlands. A bit pricey, but great product!

These are superb gaiters, and when the weather really closes in, I have been known to wear these on my Motorbike to keep the rain out of my boots and off my shins. Good fit, nice easy fastening system and good breathability.

Excellent design and construction. Very easy to put on and take off, and fit well over the boot and leg. The adjustable underfoot straps are left long to allow the wearer to trim them to length on fitting, but were so generous, I managed to get a spare strap out of each one.REVIEW BY: Marmotop

Good quality of product, but a very 'snug' fit even at XL they do not give much room for large calves. XL was largest available yet my right calf will often pop the top stud (though the zip continues to hold well when this happens)REVIEW BY: ChrisW

These gaiters were a well worthwhile purchace. I took them out recently in some 20 degree heat too see how breathable they were and they performed admirably. Completely waterproof as i discovered when on a very wet day in the Glyders (Snowdonia)REVIEW BY: Karl

These gaiters really are very nice indeed. They are well constructed, and the eVent fabric allows for excellent ventilation. I've only worn them the once so far (weather's been great since I've had them) but they survived a very boggy trip over Kinda Scout without a mark on them.REVIEW BY: pthomo

Bought these in the hope they would be waterproof and breathable, (to replace a different brand that weren't) they have been tested in rain and snow and are excellent. Like all RAB eVent products, this gaiter performs extremely well - it is highly breathable and waterproof. Before I purchased this product I tried some Trekmates goretex gaiters and they were not breathable at all which was surprising for goretex. I generally find eVent is much better.REVIEW BY: BM2011

Having tried out my Brasher lightweight boots for a few months without any problems whatsoever, my husband bought a pair of same with gaiters. Webtogs, once again, provided us with the best service ever......kept us informed of our order, received them within a few days in Ireland and now using them with great success. Very nice gaiters for the price. Fits well around the ankle when using a normal hiking boot. Also the Event fabric works well.The only minus is that there was a button missing from the other one when I got these (there was the hole for the button). I don't know if its a manufacturing flaw or has the button come off during transport...
Other than that its a nice basic gaiter without any unnecessary features.

Mud mud mud

I used the gaiters for 6 days in a row through mud, mud, sea, rivers and mud.And yes they kept me dry with almost no sweating.
They are really easy to put on and they just work.
I never tested them so deep that my shoe would have been completely submerged but I think they will keep them dry for a few seconds.
The only minus is that I can't get them real clean again (you still see mud stains) but as long as they work, I don't really care.

Great product, used them in North Wales and kept my boots and feet dry. Good fit on the ankle, they didn't feel at all hot. There is an elasticated centre part that did collect some moisture, perhaps without this air would be able to circulate more freely but that's not really a problem.REVIEW BY: Philip
