For life amongst the most extreme conditions in the world, Rab have produced the Men's Summit Batura Jacket. Combining superior 850+ fill power goose down insulation with a fully taped waterproof Pertex outer shell, the Summit Batura offers possibly the ultimate in polar and alpine protection. With an efficient, narrow box-wall construction of the body, and an attached down filled hood, insulation where it counts on the Summit Batura Jacket is utilised without the encumberance of an extra shell layer.Without sounding too obvious, the main aim of the Summit Batura Jacket is to keep the wearer warm and comfortable to work in at high altitude and extreme cold temperatures. To maintain this level of warmth and be able to function unhindered, this iconic down jacket is kept bereft of whistles and bells, but still includes four external and two internal mesh pockets for essential items. Stitching and detailing on the men's Summit Batura as you would expect is faultless - don't head for the poles without one.

EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT

a very practical jacket and super warm in extreme cold (-20+) i,ve used this jacket on summits in winter and it can be packed away in the stuffsac and didn't take up too much room in my rucksack so a very nice piece of kit indeedREVIEW BY: deadeven
