The Andes 800 Down Sleeping bag is part of the new range of down sleeping bags from Rab. Perfect for high altitude or winter mountaineering and expeditions in cold weather conditions. Pertex Endurance outer helps keep your sleeping bag dry and a microlight inner keeps you comfortable and the weight down.
The Rab Andes 800 sleeping bag uses Pertex Microlight fabric which is very lightweight, stong and durable. It is used with the Rab sleeping bags as it is downproof, as soft as silk, and reduces the packing size by up to 25%. As Pertex Microlight is so light it enables the down in your sleeping bag to loft more easily which means you get warmer faster without adding any extra weight. Pertex Microlight is both downproof, wind proof, water repellant and durable.
Pertex Endurance fabrics are also used in the Andes 800 sleeping bag and this is used in order to keep water, snow and wind out. It does this by allowing moisture to pass out freely from the inside keeping your sleeping bag dry from condensation. It is an ultra-light monolithic membrane applied to a durable nylon face fabric and this creates pathways along which moisture can diffuse into the atmosphere.
An angled foot box in the Andes 800 allows for extra foot space so not restricting movement and enabling you to keep your toes warm through movement in cold conditions.
A combination of the finest down and incredible technologies come together to create a sleeping bag which is second to none for warmth, comfort, and functionality.

bag survives world's highest lake!
I have just returned from using this bag in Nepal for 2 weeks. Kept me warm up at Lake Tolichio and even when the bag was wet on the outside from condensation, it was toasty inside. My only criticism is the cords to tighten round shoulders and head are so long they bang into your face if not careful and get tangled up in arms!

In bad conditions...it's great

I tried the sleeping bag last weekend. We slept into a hut. Outside it was snowing (3ºC inside). There were roof's leaks in the hut and the floor was wet. Thanks to my super-thermarest mat (ridgerest deluxe) and the sleeping-bag's pertex layer I didn't get wet. It seems that the sleeping bag repels water from the condensation and the roof's leaks. And of course, I was very comfortable, enough place to move. I even had a bit of heat inside the sleeping bag. Girl, my feet were well warm. I slept the whole night.REVIEW BY: OrangeButterfly

Great option!
Webtogs team was very kind and quickly resolved my doubts.
The sleeping bag is fantastic for women I think, because is very warmth, comfortable and lightweight. Still have not tried it in a very cold day, but I'm sure it will work.
