Ruff Wear design and make lots of different and helpful products which give you and your dog more helpful solutions to safety, travel and outdoor pursuits.

Since being founded by Patrick Kruse in 1994, Ruff Wear have set out to make life much more pleasant and accessible for our four legged friends. Their constant motivation to innovate and update products shows in all their dog accessories. The Ruff Wear products are all tried and tested by professional dog handlers and of of course through our constant use of the Ruff Wear performance dog gear.

Ruff Wear was founded when Mr Kruse was on a mountain biking trip with a friend and their dog. The friend, Liz, emptied half a bottle of water into a plastic bag for her dog to have a drink out of, the dog took a few sips and then wondered off leaving Liz to hold the bag not knowing what to do? Waste the water or poor it back in the bottle? This led to the development of the Quencher, the first collapsable food and water bowl for dogs and the first Ruff Wear product to storm the market.

Since the development of the Quencher Ruff Wear have gone on to develop more and more innovative performance gear for dogs including, dog safety, performance and comfort gear. Whether you love taking your dog for walks or kayaking trips there is a Ruff wear product to suit them, no matter how big or small.
