The Men's Scarpa SL Activ walking boots have been updated. The SL Activ is the UK's definitive 3-4 season Hill walking boot. Winner of numerous awards and recently updated with a huge weight reduction and comfort enhancement, the activ range is designed for long distance backpacking and trekking all year round.
This particular version features the BXX last which has been updated to give those who have a wider foot shape more comfort. With technology such as the Vibram Biometric Sole Unit, Heel Tension System, Autofit Collar and smaller Speed Lacing systems the SL Activ's are ideally suited to hill walking with compatibility for B1 crampons to tackle shorter summit trips and easy glacier crossings.

Tech details
Weight: 1720g / 61ozHS12 Sherpa Leather
A 2.7 mm to 2.9 mm tanned leather. The extra thickness and durability of this leather is perfectly suited to stronger hill and mountain walking boots, where extra support is important. Sherpa leather is treated with the HS12 tanning process which helps resistance to scuffing and stops the leather from wetting out so easily.
BXX Last
A wider and higher volume version of the BD last, especially for people with extra wide or larger volume feet.
Vibram Biometric Sole Unit
The new Vibram Biometric sole unit is anatomically designed for increased comfort and is lightweight yet incredibly sturdy. It's broken down in to four separate parts with a dynamic TPU shank, Biomechanical Midsole, light PU Midsole and Outsole that delivers maximum grip along with self cleaning grooves.
Heel Tension System
This innovative system is applied to the heel area of the upper and offers great stability and adaptability to the severe stresses derived from steep routes. The design and TPU material help make the upper responsive, making walking easier even on difficult, steep and rough terrains.
Autofit Collar
Thanks to the ergonomic design of the collar and to the special padding, it ensures the maximum adaptability and comfort of the upper, resisting impact stresses on the Achilles and malleous area of the foot.
V-Flex System
Scarpa have innovated with the ergonomic design of the upper on the ankle flex area. It allows a wider and more natural movement of the foot. The upper, in synergy with the lacing system, wraps the foot in an optimal way, offering maximum comfort and support.

I walked about for two days in the house as I have very disformed toes with no discomfort. after that I went for walks up to two miles and the boots were very comfortable. the extra wide fit really helpedREVIEW BY: lippy

Well, I have not yet used these boots a lot, but they are almost look a likes to my previous pair of Scarpa's, which served me very well through eight long years of walking mainly in high parts of the Alps. I have always found these boots very comfortable and at the same time robust enough for rough terrain where you need extra support and confidence. While these Scarpa boots are no longer available in the Netherlands, I was very lucky to find these in the UK. Buying at this shop was a delight and a delivery time of only two days to the continent cannot be beaten.REVIEW BY: Hans

Delighted with the boots - my last pair of SCARPA boots have lasted me over 30 years and the soles are worn smooth! They are so comfortable to wear and require no breaking in.The service from WEBTogs was excellent and I appreciated their patience in getting the exact fit I required.

Best Boots Ever

This is the first time ever I have been able to buy leather boots because I have very wide feet and a high instep. Until now have never been able to get my feet even half way into a boot. These are exactly what they say they are extre wide and exceptionally comfortable. The first time I put them on they were snug and I knew they were going to be great, I have gone from 1 hour walks to 2 hour walks and they are already breaking in nicely. If like me you have wide feet and have had trouble finding boots then give these a go. Webtogs were great the boots were ordered on wednesday and arrived at my home in France on Friday morning, deivery free and the promise that they would take them back if they did not fit. if you want a boot that has comfort yet feels real solid underfoot this is the boot to buy! excellent build quality not to heavy never had any instance of wet or damp feet did at first have a chaffing on ankle which was put right by leaving top buckle when lacing but that might be my feet or something recommend highly ! bit pricey but quality always is!REVIEW BY: timbob
