The Men's ZG 65 Boot from Italian mountain footwear manufacturers Scarpa is the worlds first Gore-Tex XCR lined walking boot. ZG 65's, in combination with our love and support of all things Scarpa delivers exceptional comfort, breathe-ability and performance all wrapped up in a classic modern design. The ZG 65's require minimal breaking in and have, under some circumstances, become popular within military circles who have found themselves on detachment to warmer climes! - quite an accolade.Reassuringly made within the EU, Scarpa's ZG 65 is also ideally suited to UK and Alpine 2/3 season walking and trekking and perfectly suited to trekking in warmer climates too. The price of the ZG 65's belies the superb array of features that are built into this ever popular model of boot, and the ZG 65, in our opinion, has to be a serious contender for one of the best all-round lightweight walking boots this side of the Ural Mountains!

Gore-Tex XCR Technology is the Gore-Tex eXtended Comfort Range, used where comfort and dexterity matter most, and designed to meet the challenge of keeping hands and feet dry whilst letting them breathe freely. |
This Vibram sole unit used on the ZG Models, is incredibly light, yet unlike others who have tried to lighten soles by lowering the profile, it retains deep cleating that gives outstanding grip. Based on a Megabyte trekking mix, it gives great adhesion with easy self cleaning action during use. The combination of rubber outsole and ultra-Lite PU wedge gives great underfoot shock absorption.
Midsole - Hi-Flex
A midsole with generous flex down its length but offering good lateral support. Featured in the walking boot range it not only provides good support for walking, but is also instantly comfortable and requires virtually no breaking in. Can be Poly propelene, Nylon or Texon material dependant on model.

As comfy as my slippers!

These are so lightweight you'd hardly notice you're wearing them. Don't fear about performance either - these little beauties are what used to be known as GoreTex XCR lined making them waterproof but not overly hot. Great sole as well, very grippy.This is the second pair in 6 years I've bought, even having tried others, I've gone back to the ZG65, they just can't be beaten for UK/warmer climate walking.

Few boots can be worn comfortably straight from the box...and feel like you've been wearing them for ages, this is one of those boots.My last pair of ZG65's saw me through many visits to the Peak District, North Wales, Scotland, the Lake District and were still going strong afterwards.
But after SIX YEARS of constant wear it was time for a change - so I bought another pair.
Thank goodness the build quality and comfort of these boots hasn't changed!

The ZG 65 boots are really well made and although early days it seems they are very durable. They are light with good grip. After comparing with some other brands in terms of quality and style, the scarpa boot was a clear winner and webtogs proved to be a really good retailer delivering in a timely fashion.REVIEW BY: SpecialK
