Sea to Summit was founded after Tim Macartney-Snape climbed the entire 8,848 metres of Mount Everest. He swam in the Bay of Bengal and then set foot towards the Himalayas to perform a solo climb to the summit of Mount Everest. Tim and Roland Tyson then decided to put all their expertise together and create a company that designs and produces ingenious, well made and affordable mountain equipment. Sea to Summit have succeeded in what they set out to do.
