The North Face Men's Gotham Jacket has everything you need this Winter. The Gotham Jacket is waterproof, breathable and warm. The Hyvent shell prevents water and snow from penetrating through to the beautifully warm 550 fill power down which insulates you perfectly from the Winter chills.On the outside, the Gotham Jacket boasts a down filled hood with a detachable faux fur trim which will keep rain and snow away from your head and face. Moving down the Gotham there are a multitude of pockets to keep various items in and to keep your hands warm. The sleeves and hem of the Gotham Jacket are elasticated to give a perfect fit around your waist and wrists, this help prevent heat loss and stops drafts all together.
The North Face have added a multimedia pocket with a headphone exit so you can take your music with you with ease. The inner fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable so wearing just a t-shirt under the Gotham is an option too if you just need to pop out quickly.

HyVent is a waterproof, breathable technology that utilises a three-layer construction to stay simultaneously breathable and waterproof in extreme conditions. The durable woven outer layer protects the wearer from abrasion. The mid-layer utilises a PU coating and micro pores to channel water vapour from the inner layer to the outer, while keeping water out. The comfortable inner layer also channels moisture up to the micro pores. |

Outstanding winter jacket

I was looking for a new winter coat and the Gotham jacket has delivered everything I was looking for. I took this to the Rockie mountains, Colorado recently, where the temp goes to -20 on some evenings. Walked around with this on and a T shirt underneath. Warm as toast. You can remove the fur, if thats not your thing. I also have worn it in heavy snow and pouring rain and was warm and dry as a bone. The only criticism would be why there is a ridiculously small zip on a jacket such as this. It works - its just a bit small. Apart from that this really is a great jacket. North face have found the perfect balance between something that is warm, waterproof & hugely practical, and will keep out almost any weather that most people would come into contact with, yet is still stylish enough to wear down to the pub with jeans without looking like you are going on an expedition to the himalayas. Does everything you want it to do and more. Very warm, very dry and wind proof too. 5 out of 5 from me.I bought the small size after reading reviews, I'm a 38" chest and it's a perfect fit. It's quite puffy to start with but it settles down after a couple of times wearing it. I love the I-phone/I-pod pocket on the chest with headphone hole. Great jacket built to last.

Fantastic jacket - I purchased my original jacket six years ago and it has lasted well although it is need of a smart tidy replacement. I recently bought the Gotham jacket after much soul searching over what would be the best jacket for this cold weather. Must be said I was not disappointed. The Gotham is a fantastic jacket that keeps you warm and snug. In fact I can't remember the last time I wore a jacket that keeps you as warm as the Gotham does. What a great Jacket...

This Jacket is the first The North Face product i have bought and it is worth every penny, its VERY warm and in my opinion its stylish to, I bought the jacket just in time for the 2nd bought of snow we had in December (2010) and what a great time to buy. We had temp's of -9 and the jacket kept me very snug. Wind proof and water proof, Its a versatile all round jacket its got plenty of pockets for storage. Brilliant
Purchased this for the cold snap and snow this year. Delivery was slow due to the first load of snow we had but the webtogs customer services were excellent and was delivered the day after i called. The coat is very nice, excellent build quality, very warm and looks great, couldn't be more pleased and i would recommend this to anyone.

The North Face Gotham Jacket is great for winter. Here in Hamburg it is -8 degrees Celcius and the jacket keeps me nice and warm. The hood and lining do their bit to keep my head and ears warm in the biting cold wind from Russia. As an Australian living through a cold Northern European winter, I couldn't have asked for a better jacket. Well worth the price and not too bulky like some other jackets. Has some nice features like cable routing for your iPod and headphones too. The sizing runs a little bigger so I went with a medium and it's perfect even with layers on underneath.REVIEW BY: ColdAussie
