Product Description
The North Face Meru Gore Jacket is what they call a pure-bred Alpinist jacket. Constructed from Gore-Tex Active Shell the Meru is ultra breathable, waterproof and seam taped which is ideal for tough days when the weather changes regularly. The North Face have added features like grip zones on the shoulders to keep your pack in place while you're in awkward positions and don't need pack weight to be shifted around. The Meru Gore Jacket also has large intuitive chest pockets which can be used if harnessed in and you're using a backpack so you can stash essentials and be able to get at them.
There's also a helmet compatible hood, large internal mesh pockets for water bottles and extra gear should you need it. All in all the Men's Meru Gore Jacket is an astonishing coat designed for fast and light ascents. It's part of the Summit Series and it's not hard to see why, at 450g you've been given as many features as a mountaineering jacket.
