The North Face Women's Arctic Parka is a 3/4 length cold busting jacket designed to keep you warm and looking stylish. Fully seam sealed throughout, the HyVent waterproof and breathable fabric protects the 550-fill goose down insulation, ensuring you stay warm and dry underneath.If you get a little too warm simply take off the detachable faux fur trim from the hood for a little more circulation around your head and undo some of the flap closure of the robust centre front zip. Plenty of pockets inside and out for keeping your hands warm, and there's a handy media pocket and port for in-house entertainment.

HyVentis a waterproof, breathable technology that utilises a three-layer construction to stay simultaneously breathable and waterproof in extreme conditions. The durable woven outer layer protects the wearer from abrasion. The mid-layer utilises a PU coating and micro pores to channel water vapour from the inner layer to the outer, while keeping water out. The comfortable inner layer also channels moisture up to the micro pores. |

This coat is really warm in the current freezing weather (-5) - with excellent snug fitting hood keeping out rain and wind. Only criticism would be the lining of the pockets are not fleece. Not cheap but worth the investment. The best coat for very cold weather.REVIEW BY: Toasty1

I purchased this North Face Arctic Parka in anticipation of the snow and chill factor. Today is the first day it has snowed in London (2 degrees) and I arrived at work lovely and toasty despite the freezing weather outside.I definitely recommend this coat - it's lightweight and yet so effective against the cold.

TNF Arctic Parka
Bought this for my wife towards the end of last winter, which was very cold. She loves it, It's like wearing a feather duvet. With a long walk to school with the children she needed something that was warm, practical and stylish enough for a lady. You wont feel the slightest chill wearing this in any weather. Not been tested in the rain but to be honest, if it's raining then it's not cold enough for this parka.

Dithered for some time but finally decided my walking gear is too shabby for normal wear.went up a size - comparatively snug over bust - lovely long arms and very comfortable non- restrictive fit for shoulders and hips. ( I am an overweight busty apple in shape)
Looks surprisingly neat for a large down coat.
Cannot rate performance as it is too warm still to wear coat.

This is the best coat I have ever bought. I used to always be cold but not anymore. I needed something weatherproof and warm for walking my dog and this coat ticks all the boxes. The wife says - Great womens coat. Long and protective, really wraps up warm and snuggly. High collar and hood if needed, keeps the wind out and away from the neck. Is very warm, but with the materials and construction is a legitimate outdoors coat too, not just a down filled high street fashion jacket. though it does look smart when worn in all sorts of different places. Great for changeable English weather, very cold and dry to damp chilly miserable with rain, it shrugs it all off and really seems to tick most boxes for such changeable UK winter weather. I ordered this coat when the snow started to hit the UK and Channel Islands. The coat I did have just wasn't warm enough, nor was it waterproof so I decided to treat myself.I'm very glad I did!!! This coat is wonderful!! Like wearing a waterproof duvet!!!
It's also very light, so even though you know you have a warm winter coat on, you don't feel like it's dragging your shoulders down.
There are lots of handy pockets too!
I love it!!!!

What can I say - the coat is wonderful. A down coat that covers the thigh and keeps the back warm, that can also be worn with confidence in the rain!! It has a shape to it, and an optional zip on/off fur. - the fur works wonders in a snow shower, protecting the face in that blizzard!Snow ...bring it on!

Best thing i bought this year, especially with all this snow. It's lovely and warm, doesn't look like i'm wearing a duvet, and could be worn with smarter clothes as well as casual.
