The Thermarest Neoair Xlite regular Inflatable Mattress is Thermarest's lightest mattress by far. Part of the Neoair range that was first introduced back in 2009, they have redefined what it means to be a lightweight mattress. Suitable for 3 season camping, the Xlite comes in at just 350 grammes - you'll almost forget you have it in your backpack.Thermarest have tweaked the weight of the Xlite by tapering the top and the bottom of the mattress to shave off precious grammes. Using a combination of the lightest materials plus Thermarest's patent pending Triangular Core Matrix means the Xlite sheds weight like a footballer in pre-season training, but the reflective layers mean you still stay warm and really comfortable when sleeping under the stars. It's also the smallest pack size we know of for any mattress measuring less than most water bottles.
We love the new XLite here at Webtogs and reckon this is the perfect mattress for those backpackers who have to have the lightest pack in town. We've slept on each of the various Neoairs and have been seriously impressed with all of them. Our top tip is to not quite inflate them to their maximum capacity to get the most comfortable nights kip.
The Xlite comes with it's own stuff sack and repair kit and is quite simply the lightest mattress out in the hills right now.
