At only 1100g for a sleeping bag rated to -17 degrees the Antelope delivers, with a massive 7 inches of loft to keep you warm whatever the weather outside. The quality doesn’t stop at the high loft down, with a hard-wearing MicroLite shell adding breathability to avoid condensation forming within the insulation. A full 3D collar and zip keep you snug inside, with the generous shoulder girth more than big enough for well built users. Nothing is left to chance with a system of continuous baffles eliminating cold spots and a well filled hood completing a dream bag.

The Western Mountaineering Antelope uses the finest quality goose down available, to produce the highest loft, best insulating, down you can buy. Fill power is determined without the extensive tumble then blow drying over a period of days used by laboratories to give a more practical, real-world, rating you can trust. At a minimum of 850+ fill power the down produces unparalleled insulation at minimal weight. With a highly durable ripstop shell and attention to every detail Western Mountaineering have produced a down bag for all but the most extreme conditions.

850 Fill Power

The top end of the market, offering exceptional warmth to weight ratios. 800 fill power is rare and expensive but gives expedition level performance or options for ultralight construction. The high loft down compresses well, keeping pack size down whilst standing up to the most extreme conditions

Rip Stop

This is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven rip-stop reinforcement threads in a cross hatch pattern. It is woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. Rip-stop is used in construction of hot air balloons and yacht sails but in this case very effectively on outdoor clothing.

Stitched Through Construction

- Down garments and equipment constructed using a stitch through construction which helps keep down in place and reduce clumping. This construction is used mostly on mid to low weight down items.
