-9 COMFORT LIMIT:
EXTREME:

The Western Mountaineering Ultralite sleeping bag keeps you warm when the temp drops down to -9ºc and still remains light at a feathery 822 Grams. Western Mountaineering applies a 20X20-denier ripstop nylon to retain the 850+ European down fill and keep your tent from looking like a goose has just molted inside it. A soft taffeta lining caresses trail-weary skin and, thanks to its breathability, controls the climate inside of the bag on hot nights. When on multi-day hikes, mountaineering, or cycle-touring, you’ll appreciate the UltraLite’s low weight and ability to stay comfortable in diverse climates.

The Western Mountaineering Ultralite uses the finest quality goose down available, to produce the highest loft, best insulating, down you can buy. Fill power is determined without the extensive tumble then blow drying over a period of days used by laboratories to give a more practical, real-world, rating you can trust. At a minimum of 850+ fill power the down produces unparalleled insulation at minimal weight. With a highly durable ripstop shell and attention to every detail Western Mountaineering have produced a down bag for all but the most extreme conditions.

Features

  • 454g of 850+ fill high loft down
  • 3D down baffle behind zip
  • Full down collar
  • 5 inch loft from finest goose down filling

i just spent the night 24/10/10 on the summit of helvellyn with this sleeping bag and it performed very well the temp dropped to minus 3 but i was snug and warm all night the bag packs down really small and the build quality is excellent but at this price you would expect nothing less
it is expensive but for severe winters
and warmth to weight ratio this bag cant be beaten
